The paper investigates the regularities governing the economic efficiency of manufacturing combined blockboards using slats produced from reclaimed wood together with particleboard slats. The relevance of the study is driven by the need to improve the integrated utilization of wood resources, reduce the consumption of virgin timber, and implement the principles of the circular economy in the woodworking industry. A methodological approach to mathematical modeling of the economic efficiency of combined blockboard manufacturing based on a second-order full factorial experimental design is proposed. Two independent variables were selected: the proportion of reclaimed wood slats in the total slat core of the blockboard (30–70%) and the yield of dimensionally suitable slats obtained after technological processing of reclaimed solid wood (55–85%). The response variable was defined as an integrated economic efficiency index expressed as the ratio of the economic result achieved by manufacturing combined blockboards with reclaimed wood to the corresponding economic result of conventional production using virgin wood. A second-order regression model was developed to describe the relationship between the investigated technological factors and economic efficiency. The adequacy of the mathematical model was confirmed using Cochran’s, Student’s, and Fisher’s statistical criteria. The results demonstrated that the proportion of reclaimed wood slats has the greatest influence on economic efficiency, while the yield of dimensionally suitable slats determines the level of resource utilization and the amount of technological material losses. A positive interaction effect between both technological factors was identified. Based on the developed mathematical model and response surface analysis, rational technological parameters were determined. The highest economic efficiency was achieved when the reclaimed wood content ranged from 60% to 70% and the yield of dimensionally suitable slats ranged from 75% to 85%. The proposed mathematical model can be applied for engineering prediction of economic efficiency, optimization of technological parameters, reduction of production costs, improvement of resource efficiency, and implementation of circular wood utilization technologies in the woodworking industry. The obtained results provide a scientific basis for designing resource-efficient manufacturing processes for combined blockboards using reclaimed wood
