The paper presents the results of an experimental study on the influence of adaptive IMOS CAD system parameters on the efficiency of digital furniture product design. The relevance of the research is determined by the growing demand for increasing the productivity of engineering design during digital transformation of the furniture industry, the implementation of parametric modeling technologies, integrated CAD/CAM systems, and the transition to the concepts of Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0. Although modern CAD systems provide extensive opportunities for automating design processes, the quantitative assessment of how parameterized libraries and automated logical rules affect design efficiency has not yet been sufficiently investigated. The aim of this study was to determine the influence of the parameterization level of the IMOS library and the automation level of Rule Editor logical rules on the furniture product design time by applying a full factorial experimental design, developing a second-order regression model, and identifying rational values of the investigated parameters. The methodological framework of the research is based on the principles of adaptive CAD systems, parametric modeling, experimental design methodology, regression analysis, and mathematical statistics. A full second-order factorial experimental design was applied to evaluate the influence of two independent variables: the parameterization level of the IMOS library (8, 14, and 20 active parameters) and the automation level of Rule Editor logical rules (6, 12, and 18 rules). The response variable was the total furniture product design time. Experimental data were statistically processed to determine the mean values, variances, regression coefficients, and model adequacy. A second-order polynomial regression model describing the relationship between the investigated factors and the furniture design time was developed. The adequacy of the mathematical model was confirmed using the Fisher criterion, while statistical analysis demonstrated the significance of the main linear and quadratic regression coefficients. The results revealed that the parameterization level of the IMOS library has the greatest influence on reducing the design time, whereas Rule Editor automation also contributes positively to improving design efficiency but with a lower effect. The response surface analysis demonstrated a nonlinear relationship between the investigated parameters and the design time. The minimum experimental design time of 30.95 min was achieved at the highest investigated levels of the IMOS library parameterization (20 active parameters) and Rule Editor automation (18 logical rules). Compared with the initial experimental conditions, the overall design time decreased by approximately 56%, confirming the effectiveness of adaptive parameterized design
