Aims and Scope

The scientific professional collection «Forestry, Forest, Paper and Woodworking Industry» is a peer-reviewed publication that presents the results of modern research in the fields of woodworking, furniture and construction industries, as well as related areas of engineering sciences and environmental protection.

Program goals of the journal: Publication of original scientific works on theoretical and applied issues and problems of resource-saving and environmentally friendly woodworking, furniture and construction technologies, machines and mechanisms of the forestry complex and environmental protection technologies. Promotion of the scientific development of the woodworking, furniture, construction and machine-building industries, and environmental protection through the publication of the results of innovative research, technological solutions and analytical reviews; popularization of scientific achievements of Ukrainian and international scientists; integration of the Ukrainian scientific school into the global scientific space by ensuring open access, bilingual publications and digital identification (DOI, ORCID, Crossref); support for young scientists, postgraduates and masters, creation of a platform for discussing research results and practical experience; promotion of technological, resource-saving and environmentally friendly modernization of industries, in particular those based on the use of wood, biomaterials and renewable resources.

The main principles of activity are adherence to: scientific integrity – strict adherence to ethical standards, avoidance of plagiarism and falsification; impartiality – independence of editorial decisions from personal or institutional interests; open access – free dissemination of scientific research results; international cooperation – participation of foreign reviewers, members of the editorial board, researchers; innovation – support for publications that implement modern technologies, methods and materials; interdisciplinarity – the combination of natural, technical, economic and environmental aspects.

The issues of the collection are the coverage of current problems of sustainable development of the economic complex, in particular, the effective use of wood resources and technological innovations related to: wood engineering, modeling of properties and processes; energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technologies; waste disposal and reuse of materials; environmental protection technologies; construction technologies and structures; operation of machines and mechanisms.

The purpose of the scientific professional collection «Forestry, Forest, Paper and Woodworking Industry» is to highlight the results of modern scientific research, innovative developments and practical solutions in the fields of woodworking and furniture technologies, construction, operation of machines and mechanisms, as well as environmental protection technologies.

The publication contributes to the integration of the Ukrainian scientific community into the international scientific and technological space, the dissemination of the results of fundamental and applied research, the formation of modern trends in the development of the economic complex, based on the principles of sustainable development and the «green» economy.

Objectives of the collection:

  • Publication of the results of fundamental and applied research on the following issues: woodworking technologies, production of wood composite materials and products; innovations in furniture production, pulp and paper and biotechnology industries; construction and civil engineering; mechanical engineering, waste disposal and environmental protection.
  • Ensuring scientific communication between researchers, educators and representatives of production.
  • Dissemination of modern knowledge among specialists, scientists, doctoral students, postgraduate students and masters, the formation of scientific schools.
  • Popularization of innovative technologies, digital solutions and environmentally friendly approaches.
  • Support open access to scientific knowledge and ensure international visibility of publications through indexing in databases and DOI assignment.

  • Woodworking and furniture technologies (G14): physical and mechanical properties of wood and wood materials; mechanical processing of wood and wood materials; drying, modification, gluing, finishing; modeling, design and technology for the production of furniture and wood products; resource reuse; digitalization of processes and their automation, CNC technologies; flexible production systems.
  • Construction and civil engineering (G19): technologies for the construction and reconstruction of buildings and structures; standardization, design, operational reliability; wooden building structures; energy-efficient buildings; calculation and modeling of structures; modern building materials.
  • Environmental protection technologies (G2): utilization of wood waste, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly emission reduction technologies; environmental impact assessment; emission and wastewater treatment; waste management; product life cycle assessment (LCA); climate change and its impact on forest ecosystems.
  • Mechanical engineering (G11): equipment for the forest and woodworking industry; automated production systems; mechatronics and robotics; reliability and durability of machines; optimization of technological processes.
