Data Sharing Policy

The Editorial Board of the journal supports the principles and values of open science and considers open scientific (research) data to be an important component in ensuring the transparency and reproducibility of scientific research. In its activities, the Editorial Board is guided by the FAIR principles (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability), which ensure that data are discoverable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (see The FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data management and stewardship).

In accordance with the Methodological Recommendations on Research Data Management for Higher Education Institutions and Research Organizations regarding the definition of mechanisms for the preservation and reuse of research data (Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine), the Editorial Board encourages authors to provide access to the scientific (research) data underlying the published results.

The Editorial Board proposes the following main ways of providing access to research data:

  • publication of data as supplementary materials associated with a scientific article (enhanced publication);

  • deposition of data in research data repositories, including institutional, national, or international multidisciplinary repositories, such as Harvard Dataverse, Figshare, Zenodo, Dryad, Open Science Framework, and Mendeley Data.

If open access to data is not possible for ethical, legal, or security reasons, authors must provide appropriate justification in the manuscript.
