Abstract

An analysis of physical factors affecting the drying process of lumber has been done. Considered is their influence upon the drying rate and qualitative characteristics of the dried wood material. Also methods of moisture removal from wood have been examined. Described are equations for heat-moisture conduction. Also an analysis of these equations has been carried out. The characteristic patterns of moisture movement within wood have been considered.
